MAME4droid 2024, developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco), serves as a port of the MAME 0.270 emulator crafted by MAMEDev and its contributors. This application effectively emulates a variety of arcade games and systems, including well-known platforms such as ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, and MSX. This iteration of MAME boasts support for over 40,000 distinct ROMs.

Important Note: MAME4droid is strictly an emulator and does not come packaged with any ROMs or copyrighted materials.

It is essential to note that MAME4droid operates independently of the MAME team. Users are advised against reaching out to them regarding inquiries related to this emulator.

This version has been optimized for high-end Android devices, derived from the latest iteration of PC MAME, necessitating more advanced hardware specifications compared to its predecessors. Even with powerful devices, users should not anticipate full-speed performance or compatibility with "modern" arcade games from the 1990s and later.

While the extensive library of over 40,000 supported games offers diverse options, performance may vary significantly between titles; some games might run seamlessly, while others could encounter challenges or fail to launch altogether. Upon installation, users should place their zipped MAME-titled ROMs in the following directory: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.seleuco.mame4d2024/files/roms (for additional ROM reading options, please refer to the help section).

Critical Note: This particular version of MAME4droid utilizes only the '0.269' ROM set, distinct from those available in older versions.
